This weekend begins the Year of Grace 2021. As Advent dawns upon us, Bishop Fabre is changing our pandemic Liturgical Protocol by allowing us to “pass the collection” with our long-handled baskets. We didn’t want the day to catch you unawares!

When the rectory was evaluated in 2017, it was determined that moisture intrusion came from the roof, the brick walls, and the windows. Both the roof and the brick walls have been remedied. The windows still need to be addressed.
The windows are original from construction in the ‘40’s. At this point, they are inefficient and they leach energy. In multiple areas, the window casings and adjacent walls have been seriously damaged. Additionally, they are not up to code for hurricanes. Replacing them with Aluminum Impact-Resistant Glass Windows insulated with Argon will be an expensive undertaking. Given the current state of affairs with the pandemic and subsequent economic downturn, we hope to replace the worst windows first. Then, over time, we will tackle the remaining windows when funding allows.
The 15 single windows will be replaced at a cost of $2,783.00 each. The 32 double windows will be replaced at a cost of $5,566.00 each. The 21 triple windows will be replaced at a cost of $8,349.00 each. Total cost: $395,186.00.
